Castle Bromwich Infant School

  • Vision and Values

    Our Vision

At Castle Bromwich Infant and Nursery School, our vision is simple: for every child to be the very best they can be. We want our children to feel safe, happy, included and inspired, and to leave us as confident, independent, curious learners who are ready for whatever comes next.

We believe every child is a unique individual with the potential to grow, learn and thrive. Our job is to provide the caring, secure environment where that can happen, alongside the challenge and stimulation that help every child stretch a little further than they thought they could. We can only achieve this by working closely with our families, our governors and the wider community.

    Our Values

Three values shape everything we do: Kindness, Belonging and Perseverance.

    Kindness

Kindness is how we treat each other. It is the warmth you feel in our classrooms, the way our children look out for their friends, and the respect our staff show every family who walks through our doors. Kindness runs through our interactions with children, with parents and carers, and with each other.

    Belonging

Belonging is the promise we make that every child, every family and every member of our team feels valued, included and truly part of our school community. No one is on the outside looking in at Castle Bromwich Infant and Nursery School. We celebrate what makes each of our children different, and we build a sense of shared pride in who we are together.

    Perseverance

Perseverance is the mindset we build in our children. It is the quiet determination to try, to learn from what did not work the first time, and to keep going. It is the foundation of confident, curious, resilient learners who are not afraid to take on a challenge or ask for help when they need it.

How our values show up every day

Our values are not posters on a wall. They are built into how we talk to our children, how we recognise their efforts, how we design our classrooms and how we welcome families. You will hear them in assemblies, see them in our celebrations, and feel them in the atmosphere of our school.

    British Values

Alongside our school values, we actively promote the fundamental British Values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs. These are woven through our curriculum, our personal development programme and our day-to-day life as a school community, helping our children to grow into thoughtful, respectful citizens who understand their role in modern Britain.

    Working together

We believe that children thrive when school and home work in close partnership. We are always grateful for the strength of the relationships we share with our families, our governors and our wider community, and we warmly welcome you to be part of life at Castle Bromwich Infant and Nursery School.

If you would like to know more, please come and visit us; there is no better way to experience our vision and values than to see our children living them every day.
